Responsible Pet Ownership
Tuesday, May 25, 2010
The privilege of having a pet is a precious one. As a responsible pet owner it is up to you to maintain that privilege. You are responsible for your pet’s actions at all times: both inside your home and while they are in the community. This includes both dogs and cats. Dogs may never be kept/restrained in the front area of homes. Dogs may be kept in the fenced, back areas of homes only and must NEVER be left unattended at any time. If you leave, even for a short while, your dog must be kept inside your residence. Besides numerous reports of pet waste left in common areas, playgrounds, on sidewalks and even in yards, there have been recent dog-bite incidents. Any confirmed pet bites will result in the permanent removal of the pet from the community. You must adhere to the rules set forth in the Community Handbook and you must sign the Cat and Dog Addendum to the Lease Agreement prior to any pets being allowed on the premises. Failure to do so may result in loss of pet privileges. If you have any questions please contact your local Neighborhood Management Office (NMO). Thank you for your cooperation.
